Joel Park

Joel Park is an emerging artist who explores the essence of human existence, inner emotions, and our organic connection with nature.

Spanning three-dimensional sculptures and surrealist paintings, his work begins from the vast unknowns of the cosmos and the deep sea, expressing the oppression and wounds experienced in modern life—as well as the moments of solidarity and restoration that bloom from within them—through a powerful visual vocabulary.

Viewing humanity not as passive observers, but as organic beings capable of warping the continuum of space and time, the artist places red blood vessels, roots, and natural motifs throughout his work.

In doing so, he presents a vital narrative of growth—one of enduring life’s heavy burdens to reclaim one’s authentic self.

《Exploration of Humanity》At times, we feel an overwhelming sense of loneliness, as if cast adrift in the vast expanse of the cosmos or the uncharted depths of the ocean.

Yet, with a slight shift in perspective, we realize that our lives are deeply entwined with nature, the universe, and the warmth of others—connected like an intricate network of blood vessels.

The exhibition Exploration of Humanity unpacks the heavy burdens and inner wounds we face in life alongside the moments of hope and solidarity we ultimately discover, bringing them forward through empathetic sculptures and paintings.
